This web page refers to our older busTRACE 6.0 which is no longer shipping. Click here for details on our latest busTRACE version.
busTRACE 6.0 allows you to adjust capture settings and/or trigger points on a per device basis. Using this feature, you can configure busTRACE in the following ways:
- Determine how much of any inbound or outbound data you want to capture
- Whether you want power management IRPs captured (i.e. IRP_MJ_POWER)
- Whether you want Plug and Play IRPs captured (i.e. IRP_MJ_PNP)
- Whether you want IOCTLs captured
- Capture the underlying SCSI_REQUEST_BLOCK IRP that is usually generated by the port driver to process a SCSI Pass Through IOCTL
- Copy the outbound data buffer as the IRP goes down the I/O stack as well as going back up the I/O stack (useful for data corruption analysis)
- Specify a Kernel mode CDB filter
- Set a trigger point on any specified return status, including any sense code, as well as setting a trigger point on any CDB value
