busTRACE 9.0 allows you to create your own execution CDBs that can be added to your CDB Execution Database. When you add or edit an execution CDB you are shown a window similar to this:

The options available in this window allow you to define a CDB that can be sent to any CDB capable device such as a hard drive, CD/DVD/BD device, tape drive, etc.

CDB Description

In this field you enter a brief description for what this CDB will do when it is executed.

Device Type

Click on the Edit button to the right of the Device Type field to specify which device types this execution CDB is intended for.

CDB Length

Choose the length of the CDB.

CDB

Enter the data for the Command Descriptor Block. If busTRACE knows what type of CDB it is, it will show you the name of the CDB directly below the edit box.

Data Transfer Direction

Specify whether the CDB will have inbound data, outbound data, or no data transfer.

Data Buffer Length

If the CDB will have inbound or outbound data, specify the length of the data buffer. If it's an outbound data (i.e. data going to the device), click on the Edit Buffer button to edit the outgoing data buffer.

I/O Timeout

The CDB request will timeout if it is not completed by the time you specify here.

CDB Preview Window

As you adjust the CDB values, this preview window will automatically adjust itself to show you the decoded CDB.
