Our bus capture/analysis application, busTRACE, has the ability to share its captured I/O activity with busSCRIPT, our CDB scripting application. There are two methods where busTRACE can share data with busSCRIPT. One is through the CDB Execution Database and the other is through the clipboard.

CDB Execution Database

busTRACE has the ability to save any captured I/O to the shared CDB Execution Database. All you need to do is right click on the captured CDB, in the I/O Capture List, and choose the Add to CDB Execution Database option.

You click on the Add CDB button to bring up a window showing you full details about the CDB. You type in a descriptive name for what the CDB will do and then save it to the database. You can also click on the Current CDBs tab to view the currently available entries in your CDB Execution Database.

Sharing through the Clipboard

You can also copy one or more selected I/Os, from the I/O Capture List, in busSCRIPT format. Simply right click on the selected I/Os and choose the Copy as busSCRIPT node(s) option. You can then paste the captured CDBs as nodes within busSCRIPT.
