What do you do if you want to view the I/O activity that occurs during the boot sequence? Configuring busTRACE for capturing boot time I/O activity is a simple process. Simply configure your capture settings like you normally would. When you are done, select the Capture Boot Activity option from the Tools main menu.

Capture Boot Activity

Place a checkmark next to this option to configure busTRACE to capture boot time I/O activity.

Auto-start busTRACE on reboot

Place a checkmark here if you want busTRACE automatically launched the next time you reboot your system (with boot capture enabled).

Auto-stop capture when buffer full

Place a checkmark if you want busTRACE to stop the capture if the buffer gets full during the boot capture.

Kernel Buffer Size (MB)

Specify the size of the boot capture buffer.
