What do you do if you want to view the I/O activity that occurs during the boot sequence? Configuring busTRACE for capturing boot time I/O activity is a simple process. Simply configure your capture settings like you normally would. When you are done, select the Capture Boot Activity option from the Tools main menu.

Capture boot time I/O activity on next system boot Place a checkmark next to this option to configure busTRACE to capture boot time I/O activity.
Turn boot capture off when busTRACE restarts When you reboot your system, and launch busTRACE, the program will automatically go into capture mode (i.e. you will see busTRACE capturing I/O activity). If you only want to perform this boot capture one time, be sure to leave the checkmark set. If, however, you want busTRACE to capture boot I/O activity every single time you reboot your system, you would remove the checkmark.
Automatically launch busTRACE when Window restarts Place a checkmark here if you want busTRACE automatically launched the next time you reboot your system (with boot capture enabled).
