busTRACE saves its captured I/O activity into an uncompressed .BTD file. When dealing with large capture files, you may want to save the data into a compressed file, such as a .ZIP file.

busTRACE 7.0 includes built-in transparent ZIP file handling. When you get the Open file prompt, you will see all .BTD and .ZIP files within the folder you are browsing. If you select a .ZIP file, busTRACE will automatically extract out and read any .BTD file contained within the ZIP file. If the ZIP file contains multiple busTRACE capture files, you will be prompted as to which one you want to read in.

When you Save to file, you are also given the option to save to a ZIP file. Choose the .zip file option from the Save as type option:
