busTRACE 6.0 allows you to filter out any specified I/O from the capture buffer. This is filtered from view but still in memory. You can disable the filter to view the filtered I/O activity again. A new feature in busTRACE 6.0 is our kernel mode CDB filter. This filter is applied in our device driver and stops the specified I/O activity from being captured at all.

In this screenshot below, we have configured busTRACE to capture all CDBs that it sees except for Test Unit Ready CDBs. Click on the "Plus" button to add additional CDBs that you are not interested in having busTRACE capture.

This feature can help you capture only the I/O activity that you are interested in thereby optimizing the use of your capture buffer.
