View ATA/ATAPI Identify information
You can use busTRACE 10.0 to view your ATA or SATA device's Identify page. An IDENTIFY DEVICE (or IDENTIFY PACKET DEVICE) request is submitted to the device. The 512 bytes are shown to you in their decoded format as well as their hex format (256 words).

Through the use of Windows IOCTLs, busTRACE 10.0 is able to submit an IDENTIFY DEVICE request to your ATA/ATAPI devices. All of this is done in user mode. No kernel driver is required.

You can view the Identify page in its hex format (256 words) or you can select to have us decode the most frequently used fields. You can copy the hex or text output to the clipboard to share the results with others.
